Insect Control the Natural Way

Keeping household pests out of the yard, garden and house can be a huge task at times. Many herbs that you can find at your local nursery work well for controlling ant, flea and mouse populations in and around your home. You can plan marigolds to control flying insects and various mints to keep out ants and mice. Here are a few plants known to help with controlling household pests.

Lemon Balm
Basil
Geraniums
Marigolds

All of these are readily available and can help to improve the pest problems around your home, garden, storage shed or other areas you need to protect from pests. I'm sure there are many other plants and natural means of controlling flying insects, ants and mice but these are a few I have used in the past. I plant a variety of these around the foundation of my home and shed, near windows, doorways and around the garden. You can put leaves from the herbs in your cupboards, drawers and on counters where ants and other insects enter to help keep them away.
